Last night was spent in a cabin on Lake Moultonborough and today travel weather has been overcast and slightly cool. I searched for moose as we passed so many bogs that looked perfect for them but did not find any. Coming to Portland was exciting for several reasons but the most important being I was going to see my first cousin (Deb)that I have only met once in my life, about 35 years ago. We have been in touch but not seen each other in so long. We had dinner together overlooking the bay and then she & her husband were wonderful tour guides as they showed us around downtown Portland.

Downtown Portland, Maine

The Time & Temp. Sign is so large you can see it for a long way away.

After our evening together we headed for our motel. We had to call it a night fairly early because we have to be on the ferry very early in the morning to go to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Getting to the CAT FERRY Port early to board, we had to wait in a long line. There were other bikes but also lots of cars. Several hundred cars can board for each crossing. The crossing takes about 6 hours but there is a casino, eating places and several movies playing as you ride.
