Cindy has just found out that she has lung cancer. Fortunately it seems to be an
isolated area and the doctors feel confident it can be treated with chemo and radiation.
She will start with Chemo on Monday and will have it once a week with radiation 5
days a week. Then a few strong doses of chemo every 21 ones days.  (I think I have
these details correct).  Please pray for Cindy - for healing and for strength to handle
these treatments.

Love ya Cindy!

Both Chemo and Radiation have started and make Cindy very tired but she is holding
up to them pretty good. She has continued to work each day but is worn out by
night time. Joe is a wonderful encourager and tries to get her to eat though her
appetite is not so good right now.  The aggressive treatment should have great
results for Cindy!   Keep her and Joe in your prayers!

She appreciates the phone calls, emails and cards.  If you would like to send her a
card, her address is...

An email note sent out from Cindy

I would especially like to thank those of you who have sent personal cards, e-mail messages and called to let me know I am in your thoughts and prayers.  It has really touched my heart that so many of you have taken the time to let me know you are thinking of me.  Your positive messages and words of encouragement are exactly what are needed during this time.  I am blessed to be a member of such a caring group of people.

I’ve finished my third week of treatment and continue to work as much as I can.  So far I haven’t had any major side effects, other than being tired.  Hopefully the remaining weeks will go by quickly and uneventfully.

As much as I would like to be at the meetings, toy runs and Christmas Party, my doctor’s are advising me to stay away from large groups of people to avoid any kind of infections that might postpone or eliminate some of my treatments.

I hope to back at the meetings after the first of the year, I miss seeing and talking with everyone

Please continue to send your prayers and good thoughts my way.

Keeping you updated, this message was from Cindy yesterday - December 6, 2010

I'm doing fairly well. I finish radiation on the 14th, had my last chemo for a while last week. At this time they are planning 4 more chemo treatments 21 days apart but I'm not sure when they will start them. It should be sometime after Christmas or the first of the year. I'm still working about 30 hours a week. As much as I would like to come to the Christmans Party, I'm still avoiding crowds since my immune system is still low. It does sound like you've been busy and I'm sure you're doing a good job, you wouldn't do anything less Smiley. I know how busy things get this time of the year but I do look foward to getting back out and seeing people. Time to go get "glowed" as I call it Smiley

Please continue to pray for Cindy!

People like Cindy who is a cancer patient need prayers from all of us. We should all pray hand in hand for her full recovery. She needs strength and faith in order for her to get healed soon.

A wonderful, sweet soul now in heaven.  Keep praying for Cindy's family - it will be such an adjustment for them without
Cindy.  We will all miss her so much.
