I have heard that the Highway Patrol will be setting up check points for the next 6 weeks on Hwy 74 in North Carolina. Not sure exactly where but I understand they will be checking out the motorcycles that are not riding safely in this area. They will be checking inspections, tires, helmets, etc.  Some say that oil has been poured on the road creating a safey hazard in order to keep bikes off of it.
