New Request - Time sensitive (From Bob Garrett)

My sister, Lissa Langley, has colon/liver cancer. She's not doing well. Renee' & I wanted to do something to lift her spirits, so we thought we'd get everyone we know to send her a birthday card! Her 49th birthday is Oct.30. If at all possible please help us make this birthday really special !!

Bob's sister Lissa was in the hospital earlier this week but got to come home yesterday. Many cards have come already and they will start giving them to her early in the week. Right now they have about 75 but would like to have MANY more come. It will really make her realize how many people care about her. Any encouragement and kindness will help her at this time. Thanks for your help.

You are all so wonderful!! Lissa received about 1,065 cards and more are still coming in. What a caring group of people! Unfortunately Lissa is not doing real well right now. She was supposed to have a new treatment on Monday but her body was just not up to it. On Tuesday she had a blood transfusion and received two pints. She also got a chemo pill. Hospice was coming today to get set up to help her and her family. Please continue to pray for them all. It is just so sad...

Hi Everyone,
I'm sorry that I haven't gotten back to you sooner. I just wanted to thank all of you for the birthday cards you sent to Bob's sister, Lissa Langley. She received 1075 cards!!! (and still counting) She couldn't believe it! THANK YOU for making her birthday so special!
Please continue to keep her & the family in your prayers. Yesterday the hospice nurse said that her time is very limited. Bob asked Lissa what she would like him to pray for & she told him she knew she wasn't going to be healed, so comfort, in her time left. Please let that be your prayer for her.

Sad news to report...

Lissa passed away about 2:00 this morning. Arrangements are as follows:

Visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 Monday at Marietta Baptist Church with the
service at 3:00.

The family is at 101 Grandview Circle in Travelers Rest.
Please keep Lissa’s family in your thoughts and prayers. If you would like to send a card to Bob “Bullet” and Renee to let them know they are in your thoughts their address is Bob & Renee’ Garrett, 620 Jameson Dr., Piedmont, SC 29673
