We left home yesterday morning and traveled up Hwys 25/70 through Hot Springs, NC and Newport, TN. Stopping at Bass Pro Shop and Smoky Mountain Knife works was good cause we could cool off. The thermometer on the bike showed 104 degrees for most of the day and when we stopped it would go up to 118 degrees.  After checking in our motel we headed to Harley Davidson in Maryville, TN for the kick-off party then supper at Texas Roadhouse.  Today we went to the rally site and saw some awesome stunt shows.  Montgomery Gentry will be in concert tonight.  When I get back I will post pictures and more information.

Jeff, Nancy, Mark, Sharon, Bob, Renea, Randy all ready to head for Knoxville.
The temperature was extreme (about 104 degrees) each day until Sunday and as we started home the temperature was around 80 but dropped to 68 with rain before we made it home.  Some scenery along the way...

The first 3 pictures are at a stop along the way on a river along Hwy 25/70 north of Asheville, NC

The 4th picture is of Randy and two of his friends that rode their bike all the way from Ardmore, Oklahoma to meet us at the rally.

The first stunt show we saw was performed by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Motorcycle Drill Team - quite a show.  The ones in white shirts stood up on the bikes as they passed through the lines of other bikes.
